FAQ's

What happens at my first appointment?

When you come in for your first appointment, we will start off with a consultation.  I will try to get to know more about your lifestyle and morning routine. Its good to have an idea in mind already of what you are wanting, but if you are still unsure I will help you! After the consultation I will prep your eyelashes by cleaning them, and start the application process. Keep in mind you will be laying down with your eyes shut through the entire service. It is important to keep your eyes closed during the service, as the fumes from the glue can irritate your eyes. If this is hard for you, eyelashes may not be right for you.

What do i need to know before coming in?

Before you come in for your full set appointment, please make sure that you have no makeup on your eyes. If I have to remove makeup, it will take time away from the application process. Full sets take a while. Please be prepared to be laying down for about 2.5-3 hours. Please plan your schedule accordingly. Eyelash extensions are an art, and I like to take my time to perfect my art.

how often will i need fills?

You will need to come in for fills every 2-3 weeks. Just like your hair, lashes naturally shed. The average person has anywhere from 80-150 natural lashes per eye. You naturally will lose about 2-5 lashes per day. If you average 3 lashes per day, this is how many lashes are lost each week.

1 week- 21 lashes

2 weeks- 42 lashes

3 weeks- 63 lashes

It is important to keep up with your fills to keep them looking full.

how do i take care of my lashes?

After care is crucial to keeping your natural lashes healthy! If you do not take care of your lashes at home, it can cause damaged to your natural lashes and cause premature shedding. (I will go over all of this with you after your appointment as well.)

  • Try to avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours if possible.
  • Do not pick or pull at your lashes.
  • NO eyelash curlers.
  • Avoid mascara, especially water proof as it will break down the glues bond.
  • Don't use oil based products on or around your eyelashes.
  • Wash 2-3 times a week with the lash cleanser provided, or everyday if you wear eye makeup.
  • Gently blot your eyelashes with a clean towel after you shower, or use a fan/cool setting on blow dryer.
  • Brush them 1-2 times a day and ALWAYS brush them after showering or getting them wet. This will keep them looking full and fluffy.
  • Try to avoid sleeping on your face. Sleeping on your back is best. If you are a side sleeper, you may notice that you lose more on your sleeping side.
  • Book a fill appointment every 2-3 weeks.

Why do i need to wash my lashes?

It may sound odd, but washing your lashes is SO important! I recommend washing them 2-3 times a week if you do not wear eye makeup. If you do wear eye makeup every day, I recommend washing them every night to make sure all of the makeup, and debris are out of your lashes. If you do not get all the makeup out, it will start to build up in your lash line and could cause serious irritation. if you come in with build up I will charge you extra for a lash bath. If I cannot get the build up out of your lashes, this will result in a full lash removal. If you don't wear makeup, dirt and dead skin can still build up in your lash line and can also cause irritation. Please wash your lashes! It will make both of our lives easier!

Can i use lash serums?

ABSOLUTELY! In fact, I recommend it! Eyelash serums can help keep your lashes strong with extensions. It can even help me get your lashes fuller! When choosing a serum, just make sure that it is oil free, as the lash glue is NOT oil proof. I sell Grande Lash at my studio and my clients have had great success with it!

Why are lash extensions so expensive?

Lash extensions are an art. It takes  a lot of time and skill to get your desired look. Every full set I do is customized specifically for each customers eyes.

What if i am late or can't make my appointment?

If you are over 15 minutes late to your appointment, I may ask you to reschedule.  Showing up late to an appointment will take away time that I have to apply lashes, and could cause me to run late for my the rest of my clients.

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy in place. If you do not cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your appointment.
